All heder åt dom 7-8 studenter som tog tillfället att protestera mot Apishit på Chulalongkorn University vid hans besök där den 18/8 .
Studenterna krävde tidiga val och lagligt ingripande mot dom som ligger bakom April/Maj massakern i Bangkok, dom höll upp plakat för Apishit men universitetets säkerhetsvakter ingrep och fick bort några plakat, och även universitetets lektor för "Faculty of Political Science" Weerasak Krueathep ingrep också handgripligen mot studenterna.
Efter Apishits tal lyckades en kvinnlig student överlämna ett brev till honom trots att hon behandlades ganska våldsamt av vakterna.
Brevet innehöll det här till Apishit "Political reform over a pool of blood is futile. The committees were set up, not by the consent of the people, but by the elite who agree with the killings. You need not think about a complicated public hearing process which wastes money. The easy solution is to hold elections to listen to the people,’ the letter says."
